Application of Jet Aerators in Wastewater Aeration Systems

Jet aerators feature a compact structure and mainly consist of an inner chamber, outer chamber, dual nozzles, liquid inlet, and air inlet.

Jet aerators are aeration devices positioned between bubble diffusion aeration systems and mechanical aerators, combining effective oxygen transfer with strong mixing performance. They are widely used in industrial wastewater biological treatment systems.

During operation, liquid is discharged at high velocity through the inner nozzle, forming a powerful jet flow. Due to intense turbulence and energy exchange generated by the jet, the liquid rapidly mixes with the air drawn into the outer chamber. Oxygen is transferred almost instantaneously from the gas phase to the liquid phase, resulting in a high oxygen utilization efficiency.

Jet aerators feature a compact structure and mainly consist of an inner chamber, outer chamber, dual nozzles, liquid inlet, and air inlet. Air is entrained by the liquid jet through negative pressure, eliminating the need for complex air distribution systems and ensuring stable and reliable operation.

Application Fields of Jet Aerators
Butterfly-type jet aerators are a common configuration of jet aerators. They enhance oxygen mass transfer efficiency through jet-induced turbulence and diffusion and are particularly suitable for biological treatment systems in industrial wastewater treatment.
Jet aerators are especially well-suited for SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) processes, where aeration and mixing are required during intermittent operation cycles.

Product Features of Jet Aerators
Independent control of aeration and mixing
When combined with blowers and circulation pumps, jet aerators allow independent control of oxygen supply and mixing intensity, providing flexible operation.
Suitable for chemical wastewater SBR processes
Ideal for chemical wastewater with fluctuating water quality and high organic load, offering excellent compatibility with SBR biological treatment systems.
Cost-effective investment
The overall investment cost is comparable to that of vortex aerators, providing a balanced solution between performance and economy.
